Yerevan Magazine Supports Red Cross Japan Benefit Ladies supporting the Red Cross benefit. See More By LILIT BARSEGYAN The collaboration of fashion, music and humanitarianism was presented last Friday as over 2,000 people came together for a charity event to raise funds for Japan and the birthday celebration of Eric Zuley. Fully supporting this event, Yerevan Magazine attended in an attempt to unite and raise global awareness for those suffering from the earthquake and tsunami. Zuley brought celebrities together with a charity showcase raising funds for the Red Cross relief efforts for Japan’s earthquake and tsunami victims and for the Never Give Up Foundation (NGU) all in one night. The NGU was created in 2009 to assist children and their families with the fight against critical illness. NGU creates avenues for families to give their children the best chance of a happy life. In 1988, Armenians suffered a similar disaster as a massive earthquake struck Armenia, killing over 25,000 people and leaving several cities in dire need of support. A substantial amount of aid was provided from all over the world as countries joined together for a philanthropic purpose. Yerevan Magazine is now partnering up with Zuley to achieve this same goal, inspiring and inviting others to make a difference. The July/August issue of Yerevan Magazine will be dedicated to Japan.
